Skiddle alternative.

Little Box Office vs Skiddle.

Little Box Office: a website builder included. Sell on your own website, keep your customer data and receive ticket money as tickets sell. Significantly lower fees.

Skiddle and Little Box Office solve different problems. Skiddle is a marketplace that helps new buyers find club nights, raves and music events. Little Box Office is for venues and organisers who already have an audience and want to sell to it directly, on their own website and under their own brand.

The Quick Answer.

Choose Skiddle if your events need to be found by new buyers. Its marketplace reaches 6.5 million UK consumers, and it is especially strong for club nights, raves and music events.

Choose Little Box Office if you run a venue or a regular programme and sell to your own audience. Bookings happen on your own website, the customer data is yours, and ticket money reaches your account as you sell, not after the event. Little Box Office is also a complete website builder. Run your whole website on it, use it just for ticketing, or both, with unlimited pages, full CMS, custom domain, and no developer needed.

Skiddle charges a booking fee of 10% of the ticket’s face value plus 27p per ticket, with a £1 minimum on tickets under £10. The buyer usually pays it on top of the ticket price. If you choose to absorb it, it comes out of your ticket revenue.

The main differences.

Your audience and your data.

Skiddle’s marketplace helps new buyers find your event, and that is its strength. The trade-off is that Skiddle can use your customer data for its own purposes, including advertising competing events to your customers.

With Little Box Office, customers book with you, on your own website, under your own brand. The customer data is yours to use for your next event, your newsletter and your members.

Lower fees, and money as you sell.

On a typical £100 order, Little Box Office fees are around 40% less than Skiddle’s booking fee. That leaves room to keep ticket prices lower, or to keep more of each sale.

Skiddle pays out after the event. With Little Box Office, ticket money reaches your payment account as tickets sell, so you can pay artists, suppliers and deposits before the event takes place.

A complete website builder, included.

Little Box Office includes a full website builder and CMS at no extra cost. Use it as your whole website, just for ticketing alongside your existing site, or both.

Build unlimited pages and menus on your own custom domain, set your own fonts and colours, and design layouts with content blocks, event listings, forms, videos, images and sliders. No coding, no developer and no separate website contract.

Switching from Skiddle.

Skiddle has no contract, so you can move whenever it suits you. Little Box Office has moved more than 150 organisations onto its platform. Live events and their orders are migrated at no charge, so you don’t need to wait for events already on sale to finish. Historical data is scoped and quoted before any work starts. We set up your account, train your team and support you through going live.
